• PWD was set up in 1977 as distributor and marketer of pharmaceutical and consumer products in the UAE and represents major international principals such as Schering AG, Abbott, Nutricia, Nycomed and Menarini.
• PWD services an extensive network of over 1,500 hospitals, pharmacies, and retail outlets through a well established and efficient warehousing and logistics system.
• In 2004, 50% of PWD was divested to the Banaja Group as part of strategic repositioning and growth strategy.

Growth strategy

• Build through M&A: Part divestment to a strategic partner, with the objective to achieve pan-GCC operations and develop synergies.
